Functional and handsome, the 17 pieces in this economical Farberware set provide all the basic necessities for home cooking and baking. Each pot or pan is constructed of gleaming 18/10 stainless steel that encapsulates a thick aluminum core in the base, the "full cap" advantage that allows Farberware Classic to cook evenly without hotspots. Stainless-steel lids and black phenolic handles in traditional styling withstand oven heat up to 350 degrees F. While not as heavy-gauge as the Farberware Millennium line, Classic has long been a popular company standard.

Suitable for stovetop as well as oven use, the cookware in the set consists of: 1-, 2-, and 3-quart covered saucepans, 4- and 8-quart covered saucepots, and 8- and 10-inch nonstick aluminum skillets. For mixing and storing, three nesting stainless steel bowls with ring handles and tight-fitting plastic lids are included; for baking, a 9-by-13-inch nonstick cooking sheet, and 9-by-13-inch nonstick cake pan. What a great buy! This cookware is great!...cooks evenly, no stick, easy to clean and will probably last forever. The transaction was quick, I had the set within a few days.

Have had this set of pots for about a month now, and I love them. They arrived in a timely fashion and were well-packed. I originally thought I would purchase individual pots as needed in the local stores, but when I saw the number of pieces in this set for the price, I couldn't resist. Plus, they are all good size, usable pieces, not just various cooking implements included with the set to increase the number of pieces in it.

Everything I've cooked in them has turned out well. They clean up easily either by hand or dishwasher. The only thing I would prefer is an 8-quart pot that can be used as a dutch oven--one that is not as tall and has a broader base than the 8-quart stock pot that is included with the set so that browning meat is easier. Until I find a better one, I'll continue to use my old pot for stews and pot roast. I highly recommend this set of pots, especially at the Amazon price!
