Does aluminum touching stainless steel corrode or no? I need u-bolts to bolt down a SS piece and they are stee

How about regular steel on aluminum? Same thing? Alot of stuff on my trailer is bolted with steel bolts on aluminum. I would like to put stainless instead. Is there a bolt coating that prevents that corrosion?

yes two different metals will set up a red/ox reaction when they are wet, especially when salt is present. The metal with the lower oxidation potential will corode, in this case the aluminum.

To prevent it, you have to isolate the two metals electrically. One way would be to use a home made insulator. for example cut a piece of bleach bottle plastic the size and shape of the thing your bolting down. After it's bolted use your multimeter and check for continuity between the two parts. If there is no electrical connection it won't corrode.
